HENthusiastic
Well, my eggfood has arrived. Heres what the label says: raw protein 12.6% Raw fat 1.8% Raw fibre 1.8% Ashes 5.1% Moisture 10% Starch 42.6% Sugar 7.8% Calcium 0.9% Phosphorous 0.5% Added: Vitamin A, D3, E, C, E320, E329. Ingredients: bakery products, grains and seeds; mi9nerals, sugar and honey; oild; egg products; vegetable by products. The chooks have had a bit of it and love it! Unfortunately I didn't check whether the egg products are freerange, so I wouldn't buy it again, because it doesnt specify (so I guess theyre not I cant see what in there would be so good for my chooks......... but the vet seems so knowledgable I cant imagine she's got it wrong. Id be interested to see what you guys think! Edited October 6, 2008 by Guest

HENthusiastic
Hi ruth1. It looks like cous cous actually! Colour and texture! I think it was recommended just as a generally good all round supliment. Two of my girls have been ill and although they are better now they are underweight. I was hoping to get some of the omletteres opinions about its content, 42% starch doesnt sound all that good to me. But I dont really know. Any ideas anybody. Does this look like a good source of nutrients for my girls?
