1) How many eggs do you use per week?

All we get as only one laying (7) + 1/2dozen bought

 

2) How many chickens do you or would like to keep?

Have 3 would like more - maybe about 8

 

3) How big is your garden (ft)?

approx 80ft x 50ft

 

4) Do you have any existing housing for your chickens? (if yes what is it made of?)

Plastic Eglu with eglu run (and 25 metres flexible fencing around)

 

5) What would features do you think would improve your existing chicken housing?

A cube with extension or purpose built run

 

6) How much would you be prepared to pay for chicken housing?

I suppose cost of cube and extension about £700.

We currently keep 3 but are planning to build a new coop and get 2 more we would love 8 chickens though

20-30

Eglu(plastic)

 

5) What would features do you think would improve your existing chicken housing?

Room for more chickens

 

6) How much would you be prepared to pay for chicken housing?

£500 max but a resonable amount is £300

I would use about 2 dozen, I'm getting 1 dozen at the moment.

I have 6 hybrids, I would like 10 hybrids and 5 bantams

60' x 30' but it's L shaped so there's more round the side

I have a cube, it's made of plastic

having another cube and an eglu or two!

I am prepared to pay about £450 for a cube and £280 for an eglu

 

My daughter is doing a GCSE in DT resistant materials but she's told what to make, she's not allowed to choose and she is very VERY JEALOUS of you! :mrgreen:

40ft x 120ft ish with a bit more at the side.

1 eglu and 2 cubes (plastic)

 

5) What would features do you think would improve your existing chicken housing?

 

Run with easier access.

 

6) How much would you be prepared to pay for chicken housing?

 

£800 (based on the price we paid for the first cube and runs)

Around a dozen.

I keep four but would like up to 12.

100ft long, about 15ft wide.

Wood and galvanised mesh wire.

 

5) What would features do you think would improve your existing chicken housing?

Height. A walk in run with chest-height coop would be great for cleaning.

 

6) How much would you be prepared to pay for chicken housing?

£100-600 depending on needs. For two hens, up to £150, for four hens around £2-400 for ten hens up to £600 - prices inclusive of run as well as coop.
