ruth1
One of my Cotswald Legbars has started displaying some strange behaviour. The other day I noticed that she was following me round the run ( not normal behaviour for this girl ) and when I stopped she would run up behind me and go to peck the bottom of my trousers. This girl always runs a mile and never lets me near her. So last night and tonight i've watched her out the corner of my eye and felt a bit like an extra in a spoof spy film I walk round run stalked by a chicken, I stop she stops, i look at her she I walk she walks, and when i went to leave then run on both nights she has taken a run at me, so when i stopped and turned round she faced up to me with that little dance they do, you know the one where they pull themselves up tall and flap their wings and look like they are going to chest butt you. Reminds me of male birds squaring up to each other to win the girl. Any ideas what this is about ?
mostin
I have no idea at all, do you think she is trying to dominate you and try to be boss instead of you?
xChicken04x
Are you sure she's not a cockerel? My Drake does this when I go near his ladies/in the run. He runs at me with his head down and pulls my trousers . It's a dominance thing, she's trying to be the boss.
ruth1
She's definitely a girl, I did think maybe she was trying to boss me but im wondering why shes started that now, shes not top hen by any means , or is this just her trying to rule someone? What do i do? i did think about taking in the water schoosher and squirting her if she tried it again.
