Omlet Cube chicken coop and walk in run for sale £900

[hpops]

Hi

I have two gold partridge Brahmas 1 year old that are absolutely lovely birds but haven't settled into my flock at all. They are being picked on and recently it has become quite bad - I've tried saddles and purple spray, but nothing seems to deter the feather pulling.

I woke up this morning to see a pile of feathers ont he floor of the run and a quite heavily pecked sad brahma and I can stand it any more.

I think they need to go to homes where they can live without the fear of having their feather pulled out!

They look quite sorry for themselves at the moment - which is a shame as they are truly beautiful birds when some naughty chicken hasn't pulled all their feathers out!!!

I'm in Billericay Essex - let me know if you are interested.

Thanks

Bless them I would love them but can't help at the moment I'm afraid. I hope you find a home for them soon, they are lovely gentle giants.

They really are!!! Biggest chickens in my flock and they are the ones who get picked on!!!!!

such a shame they are lovely birds - I'll be very sad to see them go!

Hi Hpops - sorry you're having problems. How long have you had the new girls? We added a couple to our existing flock of 3 four weeks ago and it was horrible at first seeing how the big girls bullied the younger ones the moment they got the chance. Things are generally OK now, thank goodness.

Have PM'd you

Unfortunately we have had them for about 9 months now - it seemed to settle down a bit, but has flared up again in the last week or so. I walked out yesterday to see a hunched over Dora looking so sad with fluff where feathers should be - I couldn't stand it any more!!

I do think that she may be molting too which would explain the rather dramatic turn. I have read on this forum that chickens go down in the pecking order when they moult - and she's at the bottom anyway bless her!

would love to help, but have no way of housing them for the integration...
