Chook n Boo Mum
Snowdrop produced the most enormous egg at the weekend - we couldn't get the lid shut on the egg box! DS asked for it for tea, as it was laid by his chook & it was a double yolker, which was no huge surprise, but the yolks were big too! "Mummy how on earth did she lay that?!" Chook n Boo Mum
No, my scales are more guestimators than accurate weighers. Must invest in a set of good ones! It was the physical size that made my eyes water. She doesn't seem to have suffered any lasting damage, though her eggs are more "normal sized" for the past day or so! Come to the conclusion she produces whoppers when she's been snaffling lots of goodies around the garden. She seems to give us at least one double yolker a week at the moment. Bluebell who's physically much bigger than Snowdrop is producing diddly ones by comparison! Sha x

My bathroom scales are like that, i like them that way! They were about 99p from ikea 5 years ago. I never weigh myself on any other scales, ignorance is bliss! Chook n Boo Mum
DH brought me a set of accurate scales home on Sunday from a gun fair at Bisley - now I can weigh my chooky eggs and my silver jewellery so I can price it better!!
