debbie26pet
i cant remember which ones are ok for them to have hanging in there run, i got them a bell one from our £1 shops the other day, they loved it but was gone with in a day half at most, how many can be to many, free ranging has been cut at minute, with weather but they do get out still each day, what other things can i put in run? Christian
Hi Debbie. They should have any fat or suet balls as they are for wild birds and way too fatty for chickens. Try a peckablock which is solid and will take them a while to get through. Half a cabbage tied up is also good to keep them busy.
Janty
I drill through corn on the cob and hang that in the runs as well as peck-a-blocks. I also have some pewter apple houses that I bought from Haiths. They love them. Another thing that I have started doing lately is filling my spare glugs up with dry layers mash. It keeps them occupied for ages. The new 'feeders' are still a novelty and the little monsters can't get their pesky feet into them to scrab the food out.
