Thanks, that's great. I'd love to knit a tea cosy even though I have no need for one as although I use a tea-pot I hate tea when it's been stewed. But I still want to knit one! It will go on my ever expanding list of things I'm planning to knit

Just had a trhought - there's a pattern for a cottage tea-cosy in Nov's Let's Knit mag - I'd quite like to combine the 2 patterns to make a cosy with 3 hens sitting on a chicken shed (could even be an eglu in the appropriate colour!) And it includes a pattern for cottage egg cosies, which could also be adapted. Knitting, chickens and tea - the perfect combination!

I would too . You should see the silly woolly hat with earflaps and tassels I wear when it's cold now .

Oh no don't tell me the bet is off.......I have already started to knit it, it is looking good. I think I will make it quite big so that you can pull it down over your face so that when you are out you won't be able to see people pointing and laughing....

Daft boy! I bet he hasn't worn any of your thermal marquee pants of peace yet though!

No, but for a charity match, he wore a baseball cap which we'd made look like a crow carrying a golf ball in its mouth - the club logo . Must have looked pretty daft walking down the fairway with big black flapping wings on his head .

Unfortunately we lost the only photo we had when my old computer crashed and the repair company wiped the hard drive. A shame because he looked a complete numpty in it . He won a prize for best hat though .
