Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

I have had such a briiliant chicken day!

 

Maude laid her first egg and it was 60 grammes!

 

 

We had our first free range in the garden - they were so good and so so cute!

 

When I first opened the door they were so unsure, they just pecked at the grass without stepping out. Then they tentatively put a toe out, realised it was okay and stepped out. To start with they all stayed together and followed me where ever I went - I felt like the Pied piper!! They soon got use to the idea of being out though, and had a good scratch around. Mary & Alice haven't had their wings clipped and gave me a few frights when they tried to take off! It was okay though neither managed to fly more than a couple of feet!

 

 

 

 

And I also got purple waterproof gardening gloves to match my cube!!
