Lesley
I've only had figs in pots before - and managed to kill one. The other one has been planted in a patch of very rocky, stoney ground.....it still has leaves at the moment, but I think they do lose them. Cate in NZ
I only ever had a small, immature fig tree in a pot....I think it was 3 years or so when we moved and left it behind, but it did lose it's leaves in the Autumn, so much so that each year I thought it was dead and prepared to give up on it...but then the leaves grew back. Never got any ripe fruit of it though, so it might not have been the healthiest fig tree around

Nicola H
I have a fig tree that fruited for the first time this year, I managed to get one fig and the chickens pecked at the rest......... Yes they do lose their leaves in Autumn, I have just brought mine in for the winter as they don't like the frost.
