MedusA
We having an Autumn Fair at my Allotment site on 25th October and I have rashly agreed to do "Meet the Chickens" as part of the Children's Activities. I intend to take just the two Silkies (being the most children-friendly of my girls) and set up a temporary run as I can't get the eglu up there (car isn't big enough). As I'm sure loads of you have done something similar before....any tips?
Egluntyne
Brilliant idea. I took 2 of my best behaved girls to a nursery school once. I just yakked on and showed them different types of hen food etc. Omlet sent me some brochures to give out too.
MedusA
Thanks for the tip, Eglunbtine. I phoned Omlet yesterday and a huge wad of leaflets arrived in the post this morning. I'm sure I will never be able to give out half so many, Still overkill is better than none at all. I plan to have a "Chicken Facts" board up to and some photos of all my girls. Hope it stays sunny, *fingers crossed*
Egluntyne
Oh good ...and if anyone buys an Eglu because of your demo...get them to recommend you for a Good Egg voucher.
