does anyone know of and/or can recommend a supplier near stoke? I'm planing on increasing the Chicken Brigade from 4 to about 10 in the new year (woo-hoo, gonna use my 30th birthday as an excuse ) and would love to have light sussexes and cream legbars to add to my two Miss pepperpots and 2 gingernut rangers. Also want to rehome some ex-batts to make up the numbers...

Don't know if Stafford might be too far but can highly recommend The Chicken Garden just off Junc 14 M6.

We had two of our girls from them. They hand rear all their hens and the lady cares for them as if they are children asking where they will be kept etc before letting them go. Her girls do need to free range as this is how they are kept.

I got my cream legbar from the Wernlas Collection near Ludlow. Although it is not really near Stoke, it is not too far away and is well worth a visit. They have an amazing collection of breeds.

I can also highly recommend The Chicken Garden, it's near Eccleshall, so not too far away from Stoke, probably 20 minutes from Junction 15. I bought 3 chickens in August and they are great.
