Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

Out of my 9 ladies, currently I am getting at most 5 eggs a day as some are moulting

but the eggs I am getting are realy huge is anyone else experiencing the same thing

Hi, We have had our ladies for 6 weeks today & not any signs of eggs. We attended a chicken course last sunday with Nikki & Paul in Warrington. They told us that the chickens will not lay until 26 weeks. How old are your girls? We would like to be experiencing your egg situation.

No you are not alone

One of my girls ( light sussex) laid the biggest egg I've ever seen today

It was truly ostrich sized It made my eyes water anyway

She was about 30 weeks old when she first laid an egg, she's about 34 weeks now .

I have 19 monsters and yesterday they laid three eggs. I am going to use the Ivermech(sp) this week as we have very few eggs anyway.

Yes our eggs are fewer but bigger, no double yolkers though which I was expecting when I cracked the alst whopper!

I know that the sunlight has a great deal in the egg making process!?

I have noticed that when it has been sunny for a couple of days the eggs are bigger but when wet and rainy (and darker) the eggs are smaller!

Not sure if this is an urban myth or just my random hens!

My girls are about 9 months old give or take I know some are not laying as there maulting

I am just at how big the eggs of the ones who are are laying they would definately make my eyes water
