The Dogmother
Thanks Claret.I look forward to the day I can fit into Gap clothes again I love them Sarah, and they make jeans that fit me, which are hard to find. Rosie is a big 10.5 year old and is betwixt the teenage and small adult sizes. They do come up small, don't they? Odd when most American sizing usually comes up big It's one of those stores where you either find nothing you like at all, or loads of lovely things, depending on the styles at the time. Cinnamon
I love their big fairisle style scarves & wolley mittens. Just 2 weeks ago I had to get Devon new jeans from there - could of done with this discount then as they cost me a fortune, but will last for years
The Dogmother
What I like is their fast stock rotation - they keep things on the rails for about 3 weeks, then discount them

clootie
Thanks Claret - duly printed. It's such a shame that companies don't yet realise that kids come in all shapes and sizes. My daughter is 13 on Saturday and is 5ft 7 ins tall, takes a size 7 shoe and an adult 10 in clothes but there's not a huge amount of choice for a kid of her age. What is available would have her looking like a precocious teenager.
ubereglu
If only there was a store nearby. Maybe I should convince Vikki to take me shopping someone other than Yeovil when she comes down next weekend!
redhotchick
Thanks! I'll pop in and see what they have.

Both of my girls were long ,skinny & leggy & the only jeans that would fit them were the Gap long & leans, with button elastic on the waist. They go up pretty big to - an age 16 I think..... And, if she did need to buy an adult size, just go for an on-the-waist style rather than the ultra lows (which my 15 year old insists on ) They also do husky sizes for children, but that may only be in the USA. pistachio
thank you. I was planning on going into town with my elder 2 tomorrow and Gap is good for both of them. i didn't shop at gap for ages due to their appalling record concerning child labour but they more recently signed up to an agreement which has improved conditions in their factories. they are hardly a shining beacon but apparently nothing compared to Nike and Adidas and CocaCola. Just thought I'd add that as someone sees fit to do multiple wagging fingersmilies at you all

"Ooops, word censored!"ody here gets flamed for eating poorly produced eggs or chicken. That is reserved for the retailers and producers. The fingersmilies were aimed at GAP who could do better.
