chelsea
Hi, Just got a big basket of shopping going online in the M & S Sale and I'm having problems deciding with sizing : Per una nightshirt Sizes are S,M,L My dad's girlfriend is a 14-16 and I dont know whether to get her a M or L M = a size 12/14 and L = a size 16/18 Why dont they just do a 14-16!! What do you think I should get (I dont want to offend her by getting large if she isnt - if you get what I mean )
Cooks
I always buy larger than I am in nightshirts anyway as I cant bear to have to wrap itself around me tightly when I turn over.. if that makes sense? I agree tricky sizing there, 12/14 will be too small IMO though.
jomaxsmith
I'd get the larger one, and explain! She'll be able to return it easily enough if it's wrong. Jo

chickencam
That's a tough one I am a size 12/14 and can wear size 12 stretchy M&S clothes and if I were buying a nightshirt for myself would probably go for the M. Would you say she was a hopeful 14 or a more realistic 16? A lot of people like quite baggy nightwear so perhaps L and say it's for snuggling into
Mutrix Farmers
I would order Large. "Designer labels" tends to size a bit on the tight side, and as it's M&S she could exchange it if it's way too big. I'm with loopyloo, you need room in nightclothes! ..lay a little egg for me
I find the per una stuff a bit small, so I would go for the larger one...you can always explain your thinking if she is upset by having a large size!
chelsea
thanks for the quick replies. ....I just couldnt make up my mind. I agree... I myself like roomy nightclothes plus I tend to shrink stuff She's a 16 bottom and 14 top... think I'll plump for the L Edited November 20, 2008 by Guest

Paola
I would go for the large, esp as she is a 16 bottom half
