I was sick yesterday (thank you Jack) and I've got a humdinger of a headache

I spotted a child with measles sitting in the middle of my waiting room a few weeks ago, really scary she was one of the first cases in Warwickshire, came up from London to escape the outbreak there.

 

 

I had to go home at lunchtime on Wed the dreaded virus got me & set my asthma off again, still a few days of prednisilone should do the trick

 

 

I was just going to say that South Warwickshire has an epidemic of measles

 

The advice is for those who aren't vaccinated to see the GP about vaccination Tiggy - do they then just vaccinate against measles or will it be the MMR? - even for older children?

Rosie was vaccinated and I've had it, so we're OK.. or should be will keep my eyes peeled for any rashes.

 

We are only just getting over that nasty cold that you first mentioned - it has been 3 weeks since I first came down with it, and Rosie had it for 2 weeks. We both have pretty strong immune systems, so it must have been a nasty one.

I feel a bit better today, but am relly weak & keep going all dizzy if I bend over or stand up too quickly.

I have a stinking headache too, & am a bit sniffly, but no full blown cold symptoms.

I just feel like I have a huge hangover,complete with the nausea.

 

I had a rash on my chest yesterday which was very itchy too

 

Luckily I have nothing on for the next couple of days,so can chill out & take things easy

Sorry to hear that you're still poorly Sarah take it easy and stay warm

 

We didn't get the rash, but it wasn't like a normal cold - more 'thick and congested'

it will be the MMR, we dont have single vacs in the NHS, MMR is reccommended even for adults who need vaccination because they work in high risk jobs - Drs & nurses etc if they are unimmunised
