purplenicky
Hello All, I had my first egg on Friday, thanks to hyacinth. I would like some suggestion of how to cook it as I don't really want to mix it with other eggs. Thanks in advance, Nicky

Ain't Nobody Here
Congratulations . I would advise frying it, then you can see it in all its glory . It's also easier to divvy up if there's a few of you wanting a taste . They also make gorgeous poached eggs but you can save that for when you have a few! Welcome to the forum, by the way . Saronne
I found my first egg today - and it was laid in the run on the woodchips! I managed to hoik it out (very gently, of course) with my garden rake. It was small, but perfectly formed. I'm very proud of whoever laid it, I suspect it was Nicole, my ranger. She has been crouching for the last week and her comb is big and red. Well done chick, but use the nesting box next time!
