White Khaki Cambells stopped laying and won't restart

Just been looking at the Chicken Name Wiki and spotted the name Cadmium - just wondered who called their chicken Cadmium and WHY ?

(PS - When I did my PhD. I used Cadmium - its a nasty poisonous metal)

Whoever had the hen...can't remember now...had rescued some ex-batts and very wittily called them after battery related things. There was a Duracel and a L ithium as I recall.
