Chook n Boo Mum
I have no idea what this is about. Was with you Egluntine, glad you asked! Sha x p.s. not a fan, so not sure much of this thread will mean anything to me!!
Chook n Boo Mum
I have no idea what this is about. Me either! I was thinking I that a radical change in Chinese politics had completely passed me by! Am so glad I'm in good company with my mind-wanderings! Must admit Ginger Nut Rangers did flash through too (as per Egluntine), but the Chinese Democracy bit confused that train of thought too much to contemplate!! bluekarin
DH says it's been slammed by the critics but I don't hold much sway with critics. Is Slash on the new album? I'm in the process of reading his autobiog, just up to the bit where they play their first gig in Seattle. It's quite interesting so far. It's ghost written and I think it slightly loses something in the translation, it comes across as a little too eloquent for a drug addled rock star, if you know what I mean but then again I've never heard Slash talking so I wouldn't know if he was erudite and eloquent or not He speaks exactly how he looks he would with a lazy drawl! I didn't know he had plastic surgery though. Just Googled them and saw a pic of Axle with his plaited hair. Awful! I remember that Mariah requested all sorts of bizarre things for her dressing room when on tour so I wonder what he requests?
dancing cloud
Poet - sorry, no Slash Snowy - you could improve your street cred with your son (though you probably don't need to ) by pointing out only one original band member is still in the group ie Axl himself. Dizzy Reed was not part of the original group and came in as a sub later when the drink and drugs were really kicking in Wish I wasn't old enough to know that really! I haven't yet heard any of this and will be dropping hints the size of the Mersey Tunnel re xmas pressies but part of me still wishes they hadn't come back. They really were the archetypal "live fast, die young" rock band and that so doesn't work now they're all middle-aged. Appetite for Destruction would still be coming with me to the desert island though
Clur
Saw G.N.R a good many years ago at (the old) Wembley Stadium when they were supported by Skid Row! Was looking to get the album for OH for his birthday but know very little about it - sort of lost interest as I thought it was never going to happen! ClaireG
Ooh i might have to accidently let this fall in my trolley. Were all G.N.R (both types!!) fans here. I did Karaoke (sp) for the first time whilst on holiday. OH a couple of friends we made and I sang Sweet Child O' Mine
