freddie
Dead Car.. why do they always pick the worst time, ; in a tiny, very muddy lane, pitch dark, pouring rain; All the warning lights came on(I never knew it had so many), It locked me in, the windscreen wipers wouldnt turn off, I had to stall it to stop the engine, and the steering has packed up. The hazards were in a place of their own, and worked when they wanted to, whether switched on or not The dash kept throwing up warning sentences, "stop" "steering fault" "electrical fault" (i hate being dictated to by a machine; esp if it doesnt work!) Meanwhile, 3 miles away , my kids were standing under a tree waiting for me to pick them up from the school bus.... and I had 0 phone reception. Sometimes, rural living has its downsides.... I'm doing a c raft fair tomorrow.... if I can get to it... Can you tell I'm not good with electrical things that dont work????

Scramble
How did you manage to pick the kids up in the end? Did the car start eventually? The kids walked home, they wanted to avoid the "Demon Car"! x
freddie
Car is fixed... Water had got into some little box thing that had all the gubbins that makes a car go these days. That is as technical as I'm going to get. Kids sought refuge in freinds house, until picked up in ratty work van, ES has to sit in back on cardboard with the tools! I'm also at the Welcombe one, in the village hall!! We need to meet!!
