How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

just wondered where you keep your eggs? in the fridge or at room temperature? Have always kept mine in the fridge (shop brought) But getting our hens in january and want to know whats best?

If you keep eggs in the fridge you need to let them come up to room temperature for baking etc..

 

But to honest you don't need to keep eggs in the fridge. They will keep for 21 days from the date they are laid, kept on your kitchen counter (or on display for all to see )

getting our hens in january, so when they start to lay eggs for me i won't keep them in the fridge they will have pride of place in my kitchen.

I always kept mine in the fridge before I got my own girls. Now I keep mine out on show on one of the egg skelters like in the picture ANH showed.

 

They are great as you can show off your girls hard work, but also you can easily get to your newest eggs for poaching and oldest eggs for boiling.

Keeping eggs in a fridge will encourage any bacteria to be absorbed through the shell - because the frequent opening of the fridge door causes condensation on the shell.

 

Eggs are better kept in a cool place in the kitchen or utility area.

Someone told me that you can't easily peel a hard boiled egg until it's at least 7 days old. I hate to think of how old the eggs I am still getting from the supermarket are, as I can usually peel them without any trouble.

 

Roll on the time I can get my own chickens and have really fresh eggs!

Eggs that are under 9 days old are labelled as 'Extra Fresh'. Therefore it is safe to assume that any other supermarket eggs are over 9 days old! I don't think I've eaten an egg older than 4 days since I got my girls

The helter Skelters seem nice (if a bit expensive), but has anyone got a picture with something to show the size of it? I'd like to know roughly how big it is...and do they get knocked over easily?

Does this help ? They are pretty stable - you could make it tip over but not easily.

We keep our (Shop Bought) Eggs in the Fridge.

 

 

Not sure where we will put them Once we get some hens (Mum will prob put them in the fridge)

That helter skelter is really nice. Not too steep either! I would have to keep it out of nephew Fred's reach. He would love to see the eggs travelling from the top to the bottom.
