Mrs Frugal
Good news Buffs! I'm so pleased he's home safe. They are SUCH a worry, aren't they. So glad it's ended happily though!
AnnieP
Ah Buff! Great news. How about giving the lady a photo of him with your phone number on. She could keep it and "help" you when he visits her? Mind you...she might keep ringing you for other things....

Guest
So glad that he is home safe! I definately think you need to have a quick chat with someone the next time they come to visit this old lady, if only to prevent someone else from having a worrying time if she takes their cat in. theherd123
Sorry to hear about your cat going missing but glad he is now back home! Does this old lady have any neighbours you could talk to? They may know more about any people that visit her & also keep an eye out for her hoarding cats in the future?
Paola
I think one of mine visits somewhere else I am toying with the idea getting an engraved tag with 'do not feed me I have a home' but that wouldn't work in this case I have had to do that in the past. Great news Buffie. Poor thing not being able to come home
PurpleHen
Oh Buffie, my heart sank as I read this - and then leaped with joy! I'm so glad he's home safe. One of my cats went missing just days after we moved house a few weeks ago - 36 hours and I was a mess Glad all happy now
buffie
A nice neighbour has left a msg to say she saw henry on the green near the old ladies house. I will call her tomorrow, too tired now with work just finished and helping parents unpack, and have a chat with her. Thaks agai guys and I'm off for a glass of wine and some food, oh had better feed all the brood first! BBx
kannie
I think its really positive that she saw your leaflet and phoned you, Buffie. That demonstrates some level of comprehension of the situation! I think a collar with Henry's name and your phone number on is a good idea, as well as giving her a photo of him & your phone number, and seeking her 'assistance'. Also getting her regular visitors on your side. Do her next door neighbours have her daughters phone number, and are the care workers from the social services home care team? Briefing them to pop non-resident cats back outdoors would be good.
