Turkey question...

Recommended Posts

I've never cooked a turkey in my life but I've eaten plenty  so my guess would be sliced into meal sized portions, then you can just take out what you want to use, freeze your gravy seperately. Depends what you're going to use it for.

Jamie made a gorgeous Chinese crispy turkey salad thingy on his prog the other night which he wrapped in pancakes (like crispy duck) so I hope we have leftovers so I can make it

If we have leftover chicken or turkey and aren't going to get time to use it I slice any breast meat, pull off any darker meat, completely pick the carcass and then twist the carcass into two pieces.

I freeze all these components separately - breast meat, dark meat, and then bits and bones together ready to make stock
