We had snow today. The children came home from school and went straight out to the garden to play. DD gathered up all the snow she could find (it wasn't very deep) and built a snow chicken!

 

She rushed inside to get her camera but was beaten to her sculpture by Chestnut who took one look at the 'new arrival' and pecked it's head off

 

Having established the pecking order she wandered off before her deeds could be recorded. I was laughing so much I didn't think to get my camera out...

I like that snow chook. We had a bit of snow where we are and the chooks ate most of it that was in their run. It was quite funny really.

Wow beats a snowman any day. My children were out having a snowball fight in the back garden (where the chikens free range), I came home from work and the children had finnished and were warming up inside, all had a funny smell!!! They had forgotton about the chicken poo!!!!!!!!!!!!
