4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Gertrude laid her first egg this morning! She is the first one of my three girls to lay. We found #2 after lunch!

It tasted great! I will post a link with some photos! The second egg had a pretty good crack in the top. The girls are now kicking all of the paper out of the next box and I think it just dropped on the floor. I hard boiled this one. What do you do with slightly cracked eggs? Do you have to boil them right away or will they keep?

Lovely pictures. I love your little girl's socks. I bet she has another pair just like them somewhere!

 

With cracked eggs, if it is only the shell that has cracked and the inner membrane is intact, and it is today's egg, I scramble or poach it. If the membrane is broken I discard the egg.
