ClaireG
We've been to visit what will be Adams new school today. Its a lovely small village school with only 90 pupils. Adam has a statement of education as he has dysprexia and dyslexia and they made us feel very confident that they will be able to meet his needs . The school doesn't provide a hot school dinner but for £3 they can walk round to the village pub for a 2 course lunch. I think it's a fantastic idea. Maybe if i volunteer to help out i can go as well

Cinnamon
The local wonderful food pub 'The Crooked Billet', which is very near to me, & hosted Kate Winslets famous bangers & mash wedding reception, does something like this. The children from the school in the village get their meals made by them & shipped up there every day. They have their own flock of hens & even their own heard of buffalo to make mozzerella I think its a fantastic scheme, & the children have wonderful food to eat. In France the school meals are fab & apparantly the children have their soft drinks in a wine glass so they get used to holding them
Cooks
what a great way to help the local pubs with some custom as well in this climate. I bet the kids love it, no worry of them being in a smoke filled atmosphere either nowadays.
Ain't Nobody Here
Any vacancies for a learning assistant ? I'd be prepared to re-locate (but would insist on doing lunch duty ).
Janty
I love this idea. Lucky children (I nearly typed chickens there! ). Didn't Jamie Oliver initiate something like this a few years ago?
