Sticky toffee pudding anyone?

Recommended Posts

Wow, good old fashioned comfort food  !

She's at work at the mo, but says it's a Delia recipe, I don't have any of her books, so will have to wait til Liz gets home & types it out for me, may not be in time for supper tomight though.. :(

Aaah! Just googled it and found http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/little-sticky-toffee-puddings-with-pecan-toffee-sauce,804,RC.html Sounds deliciously familiar - I've been on the receiving end of one of Liz's STPs and they really are scrummy!! Happy munching!

Delia's version is a longstanding favourite in our house! But to make it easier, I usually use raisins instead of dates. I also put it in a square baking tin, rather than make individual puds. The toffee sauce is also essential - but again I don't bother with the pecans. I make half the quantity and pour it over the pud (after making some holes with a skewer). It must be good - I used to make it to serve in my Mums restaurant and it was very popular! 8)
