A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I found a Superdrug today which had some of those lovely old-school weighing scales in pastel blue, pastel pink or cream for £1.99. They must have been left from their Xmas range I reckon. Two quid! They're not dis-similar from these: http://www.iosss.com/shopping/review.asp?prod=1742 I know how my fellow Omlet lovelies like their kitcheny goodness! surferdog
Pleeeease don't tell me stuff like this! (fingers in ears la la la) I must not buy any more kitchen gadgets
Redwing
I love these sorts of scales even though I know digital is probably the way to go - I want the red old fashioned ones on your link now! I have a rule, if I can remember my debit card number I can have it, if I can't it was not meant to be.
Guest
LA LA LA LA LA I DO NOT need these Pink will NOT match my lovely new pink kettle that James got me for Christmas Old fashioned scales will NOT "go well" with my Aga. I have a perfectly good, fairly new set of digital scales. Anyone know where my nearest Superdrug is????
Chickvic
Nice - I must resist!!!
Egluntyne
Very tempted. Get thee behind me!
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
My old ones were rubbish so I could justify it. But obviously these new ones are EVEN RUBBISHER AND DO NOT GO WITH MY KITCHEN AT ALL. (She says, slightly deafened by the interesting harmonies of those singing 'la la la la la'.) Geoid
The scale on them is too small.... Why would you want to weigh up to 5kg?
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Believe it or not, when I'm on a hardcore jam or tomato sauce bender, it does happen! I just put a bigger pot on the scale to do the measuring.
Phoebe
and 5kg is useful for weighing parcels when printing postgae online - at th moment with my teeny tiny digital scales I have to weigh me and parcel on bathroom scales and then me alone, to get the weight. Its very inaccurate (and often depressing). I think old fashioned scales would go well with my Aga so I am off to Superdrug asap.... Thanks !! ..lay a little egg for me
Hi What about the old style weight scales were you put weights on in grams , ounces, pounds etc They were the best can you remember then from school? Best regards Ian & Valerie I have a set of these, with weights in ounces and grams. I've had them about 30 years. And my Mum had some like the superdrug ones except they had a brass face (as we discovered when we cleaned them a couple of years ago )
bluekarin
I have a Typoon set in red to match my kitchen, which cost a bit more than £2 (what a bargin you found!) which I use for large amounts of stuff that needs to be weighed like flour, fruit, pasta etc and I also have a set of digital ones for when I need accuracy.
