Omletina Kyckling
Happy happy happy!! Karin, my Welsummer, laid her first egg for me today. She must have known that I'm going away for a few days tomorrow to the north to visit mum and dad and decided to lay one for me before I leave! She decided to lay under the wisteria against the house (where they all seem to like to lay given half the chance! ) - I was just about to go out and could only find 8 chickens, so scoured around and found her laying under there. When I got back there was a perfect, dark conker brown egg!! I'm thrilled. That means I get 2 x , 1 x , 1 x , 3 x PLUS 1 x What clever girls. Here's a photo of today's eggs! Hers is in the middle! bluekarin
Oooh, I got a bit flustered there. I was quite sure I hadn't laid any eggs today It's really strange to see one's name, especially when it's quite an unusual spelling. I would never have expected a chicken to be called Karin either Lovely pic of eggs as well

Cinnamon
If she is anything like my Willow, then her eggs will become even darker in the next few days. Willows are a real deep choccy colour now
