This is a rare time, DD is ill, so I've belted to work, cooked for 80 and left all in the capable hands of my assistant(she gets ALL the dishes!!)

Hello! Trying to tear myself away to hang out washing, walk dog, etc, etc but there's just too much to catch up on .

Certainly have, have to wait for our post office van to come, to check on postage prices and then email back. now we hasve no P.O. in the village, we have to wait for the red transit, which doesnt do bumpy Devon roads, so half the electronics pack up every time; it's all going swimmingly this end, Mr Brown

Lunchtime is the best time for me, OH made a fuss once when I spent 4 hours on the forum one evening!! Not only that it makes me take a break rather than working through.

My lunchtimes do tend to run on a bit sometimes

 

My OH also gets shirty if I spend too long on here in evenings and at weekends, so i tend to make time during the week. Coffee time, lunchtime, and just before bed usually, and any time I have an odd 5 minutes - or should that read hours

I'm around most evenings. I have no life and more friends online than offline so I just surf the 'net, forum, facebook, ebay etc.

BeckyBoo that's because our situations are sooo similar. I was living alone online every night before I threw my husband out - he was in the pub. 2 1/2 years later I'm still here online every night as James is in bed and I don't go out much TBH working full time you don't really want a massive social life after chasing a kid in the evening! People don't get that with me as they really don't understand how that fits with Mum living in the granny annexe. Basically

 

We are all together in the morning, for the half hour that I'm downstairs before leaving for work. In the evening we do our own thing, in our own houses and James bounces between us. After he's in bed we rarely see each other although I do have the freedom to go out if I want. Weekends we spend the days together or doing our own thing and evening are the same.

It's good that you can live that close and not live in each other's pockets.

 

I have no friends really, I will chat to anyone, and I love being on here, but we are very self contained as a family. My closest friend is one from school, we keep in touch with the odd mammoth phone call, but only see each other about once a year. I am very much a home body and quite shy, that's why this forum is lovely
