Mrs Webmuppet
Scurry, the pekin bantam has got really rough skin on her legs, compared to Snowy's. I only noticed today because it's one of those rare occasions where I managed to catch her, I clipped her nails too as she has a couple of wonky toes. I don't have any vaseline so I have put a thin smear of Sudocream on her feet & legs ( it was the only thing I could find that was vaguely suitable). I'm not sure if its just where the weather has been so wet and she has been more susceptable. I couldn't see any mites on her legs and she's walking ok and behaving normally. Any ideas, I don't have a chicken friendly vet nearby.
Ain't Nobody Here
Before I noticed this was in the Clinic, I thought it was you that had this . Sorry, no help (but I love that she'll be smelling like a baby's bottom at changing time ).
Mrs Webmuppet
Having had a quick surf on the 'net I think it may be a mild dose of scaly leg. I am off to the pet shop to pick up some scaly leg spray. Might be easier than try to put vaseline on a wriggly bantams legs!

Mrs Webmuppet
Got some scaly leg lotion from the feed store. Doddle to apply once I caught Scurry, just hope it does the trick I have to apply it every other day for 12 days.
