Purplemaniacs
as you may know from my previous post Henny Penny died yesterday. We decided to have her cremated. DD rang the local vet this morning and they said bring her in any time during the day and that there would be no charge. So DS took her in as I was at school, he was charged £25.00. I do not begrudge this cost but it does seem to be a lot, the veterinary nurse was quite rude to him and suggested he take her home and bury her three foot deep, that is what she does with her chickens and they have never been dug up by the fox. Sorry to have gone on a bit, but is £25.00 a reasonable cost or did they see my 17 year old son coming? Thanks Chrissie
Redwing
I assume you are not getting the ashes back to scatter? If its for disposal only I personally think thats a bit steep, I would say that some charge should be made but feel £10 would be nearer the mark, £25 seems an awful lot of money
Egluntyne
I paid £17.50 in total last year to have one of my girls pts and cremated.
Cooks
I would challenge that cost I think and the way she spoke to him, does he not have enough to deal with having her just die without her telling him what to do, if he'd wanted to bury her he wouldn't be there for crying out loud. edited for typo
Olly
I paid about £16 last year as far as I recall, for a consultation, PTS and cremation. I think it's a bit steep, especially if they'd told you it would be for nothing! Give them a ring - they want your future custom, surely.
