and its coming Monday or Tuesday next week! I was expecting to have to wait a few weeks so am very happy. Gone for a one.

 

One thing I'm contemplating doing before it comes is slabbing the run as its a slippy, muddy mess. How level would i need to get the ground in order to slab it? Do I have to go as far as getting a spirit level out, etc or can I just dig the mud over a bit and rake it flattish and stick some slabs on the top.

Well done.

Having put mine on slabs without worrying about levels and its higgledy piggledy I would take a bit more care another time.

It doesn't have to be spirit level even but try and get a slight slope so run off rainwater from the cover and around it doesn't run into the run. Yes guessed it. I didn't.

It also means if you wash the slabs in the run, it will drain away.

I'm about to lay slabs for a walk in run (although I'm planning to leave a soil square in the middle) so am interested in the "how level do they have to be" question too! I've got a joiner coming at 1pm (so now!) so I'll ask his opinion .
