abwsco
and we can't eat any of them as they're all on baytril That's 15 eggs in two days. Oh, and Edna who only decided to start laying again after months and months off is laying 90g eggs. Very galling but at least I can boil them up and give them back to them. Chickvic
How frustrating How long is it before you can eat their eggs?
abwsco
How frustrating How long is it before you can eat their eggs? They had their first dose on Saturday and it's a full 7 days withdrawal so it will be next Sunday. Oh, and the emergency vet didn't tell me about egg withdrawal so it's a good job I knew. Daphne
WOW! We have 9 hens but so far the record is 4 eggs in a day. I'd be beside myself with excitement/frustration if I was you!!! I'm getting into this baking lark rather than giving the surplus eggs away and I'm finding myself increasingly annoyed when enough eggs don't appear! Well done your girls
abwsco
Well, we've only had 6 today. Daphne
with such a beautiful sunny day today we got 5 eggs from our 9 girls, including the first one from one of our older ladies this year, which is a record for us. I've put a bottle of fizz in the fridge which is a bit OTT but hey who cares! We're going to make tortillas next Sat for a party we're having (cut into bits on sticks) because I want to show off the colour of the cooked eggs...so get laying those girls. Oh and my neighbour asked me yesterday what I'm planning on baking this weekend as he could smell it from his shed! (in a nice way - cinnamon!) Its quite good when it starts to come together isn't it - can you eat yours yet?
