chelsea
I do believe in worming as general well being for hens. I regularly worm my lot every 3-4 months with flubenvet. Its powder form and you can buy it over the internet, I place a small amount inside a raisin and give one to each hen over a period of seven days. You can also mix it into their food. Their might be a thread in "clinic" or "health" section that tells you more about worming.
debsea
worming powder on marmite sandwiches seems to do the trick - every 3/4 months
Egluntyne
I use Flubenvet every 3-4 months. I follow the manufacturers instructions and add it to the pellets. I find it the simplest method. That way the hens get the correct dose for their age and weight, and the medication is spread over the day and not given in one hit.
ted
Funnily enough I have just done mine and did much as eggluntine but used mash as I thought the powder would mix in more thoroughly and evenly. One thing to note is that you dont use much of it and to weigh it is tricky without very small accurate scales. I found that 1.2g (enough for 1kg of food) was a level teaspoon... The other thing I read was to cut down on treats so that they eat enough of "the mixture" to be effective. Cheers
