err_rachael
I'm still a novice and have been reading a lot about flubovet. I'm pretty sure my chickens are relatively healthy though Maj has been a bit sneezy recently. At the moment as far as medication goes I am sprinkling some chicken spice into their food and putting a few drops of citradel into their water. Is there anything else I can do to keep them in tip top condition and prevent against anything? I've read about flubovet but can this be given to chickens with no mites or nasties? Also how often would you put it on a chicken and how would you do it? Embarassingly I'm still not used to picking up my chickens. I try to sometimes but I tend to get flapped in the face even though I try to keep the wings under my hands. Feisty!
Egluntyne
Flubenvet is a worming preparation that you mix with their pellets. It doesn't treat external parasites at all. Have a dekko in the Frequently Asked Questions section of the forum. The answers to all your questions are there.

Ain't Nobody Here
Hi Rachael Here's a few threads that might help. I found them here. If you scroll downwards you can spot the topics you want to read up on. (I agree it's quite hard to find your way around the FAQs sometimes!) http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=4619 http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=6949 http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=31943
Hen Watch
I had never seen worms in my chickens poop but had a period of time with less eggs, so I decided to worm them with flubenvet and to my horror saw dead worms in their poo. So now I worm them every 3 months regardless. I use AVC (apple cider vinegar) in their water every now and then for general digestion - good condition etc. Omlet sell it online, but I get mine from the horse supply shop. I also use Garlic Powder in their feed (again from horsey shop).
