sti chick
I went to put my girls to bed last night, and 1 of them was sat all alone in the house (in the dark). She didn't look right so i put the light on and stayed for a little while to watch her. Anyway she went into the nesting box with her bum facing me, well was a bit worried as all my girls had layed an egg already that day, 12 hens....12 eggs full house. But she started to strain so i moved her feathers to see what was happening (not expecting an egg at all) she was so preocupied that she didn't mind me being nosey at all . Well i watched it all and there it was.... an egg ..i don't know what i was expecting to see fall out .such a shame that the egg was a softy after all her hard work in one day. thats the 2nd time in a week i have had 13 eggs from 12 girls . do you think i'm a bit strange at being absolutely facinated and compelled to watch an egg being laid? lin
