Sorry that last question was directed at Laurmurf I know your's don't like it I bought it to try and used it on it's own (cause it's already fortified) in one of 3 grubs I have, the other two had the usual mix of pellets, bokashi bran, poultry spice, diatom earth and garlic powder. The girls emptied the BHWT crumb instantly! I don't know whether the taste is better or they liked the texture better, but it's worked a treat. I've got a couple of bags of pellets to get through but am going to go over to undoctored crumb altogether I think. so the answer is a big YES - it is great for non-bats! I think when I get to the bottom of my mash, I'll go cold turkey with pellets with a side of bokashi. Have a look at it as I think it explains best what's different about this food, as well as the connections with the BHWT. If I can find the ex bat feed locally I'll give it a try but am convinced that any complete quality food should give them all they need - we just give them extras because they look at us so sweetly (certain conditions excepting of course!) So would it be OK for my 1 year old Barnevelder and Cochin? It sounds appealing 'cos having kept them on the normal pellets for a week - they are eating it with a big beaky face on - but only 'cos I'm giving them NOTHING else!
