Angels4
Since I'm moving 1/4/09 (April 1 2009) Check out my Europe style date. I've had to list my original Eglu for sale. I would LOVE to keep both, but alas my garden just isn't large enough...I'm asking $400USD I'll let you all know how it goes.
Chickvic
Sad you're selling your eglu but how fantastic for your girls moving into your cube and of course your fantastic new house! By the way any dates left this year for Omleteer visiting?
Ain't Nobody Here
That is sad, Mark . However, the upside is your fantastic new home . Can't wait to see pictures .
Cooks
I had to sell mine too Mark, so I know how you feel, I was sad to see it go today really. Funny how I got so attached to a large lump of orange plastic

Funny how I got so attached to a large lump of orange plastic Oh I know, I've just listed it and I already miss it. I'm sorry to hear you had to sell yours as well. May I ask if it sold for your asking price or do you feel like you took a loss?

Angels4
I listed mine for sale early this morning and haven't had any replies. Did it take long for yours to sell Cookiemonster?
laurmurf
where did you list it Mark? Is it somewhere where the 'omlet aware' will be able to see it? I've been watching ebay for ages and they often go for very silly prices - ie MORE than they would have cost new! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, it's a shame none of my upstate NY friends and family have been convinced about chook-keeping yet - I'd send them over to you like a shot otherwise! Egluntyne
How about the Omlet USA Forum? Have just had a look and there doesn't seem to be a section. Maybe they need one? You could mention it in their Nesting Box.

I didn't even get to the listing stage Mark, I mentioned on here I was upgrading to a cube and got lots of pm's asking for it.

I've tried our local craigslist (similar to free cycle) e-bay hadn't even crossed my mind I'll try there too. Thanks for that. How about the Omlet USA Forum? Have just had a look and there doesn't seem to be a section. Maybe they need one? You could mention it in their Nesting Box. I have it listed in the "Designer Corner" section on the US site....We don't have the traffic there like on OmletUK, the posting has been viewed 6 times, but no replies. Angels4
Although I wanted to re-coop some of the expense of getting my original Eglu,50lbs of feed, and the girls (over $800.00US). I had an offer of $250.00US from a young man who has ALWAYS wanted an Eglu but only has $250.00 in B-Day money to spare. I am going to sell him the Eglu and give him two of my girls to get him started.

Angels4
Her e-mail came from RYANPUG, I just assumed Ryan would be a boy, although I suppose it could be a girl. But alas her name isn't Ryan at all, it's Kristian. I know I'm going to miss my Eglu, but at least I still have the cube.....
Chickvic
If 2 of your girls are going are you getting some more? You will need to fill the cube you know
Angels4
If 2 of your girls are going are you getting some more? You will need to fill the cube you know I had and order for 12 more girls to come 6 bantam, and 6 larger girls, but since the sale of the Eglu I will only be getting 4 more girls 2 Buff Orpington, and 2 Silverlaced Wyandotte. Chickvic
When are they coming? Don't forget we will need lots of pics! Will you move first?
Angels4
I planning on moving first, getting everything in place, and then picking up the girls. I think I've found a breeder for POL girls. The thought of raising them from chicks (although what I'd like to do) just might be too much at the moment.

That is so sweet Mark, so glad you have given a brand new omleteer a start He actually turned out to be a she (thats what happens when you conduct business via e-mail) but that was my thought as well, lets give a new Omleteer a start. I actually first turned down her offer, but that was at 5am before coffee I then felt like I was being greedy, so contacted her again and accepted her offer. Hen Watch
I'm moving 1/4/09 (April 1 2009) Check out my Europe style date. Oh well on the way to being European...... I do get confused when I see US forum members with the dates they got their eglu's...... I don't always look at the profile to realise they are in the US. Took me ages to work out what PA was in kathyschix profile, in the end I had to ask ...... so my Geography lessons are coming on a treat thanks to this forum.
