Sky
I have just purchased some Verm-X wormer for the chickens and now realise that this is a herbal wormer. Does anyone use this and is it as effective as the veterinary type wormers. I haven't got a problem using herbal medicines but would like to know that it is ok. Egluntyne
Sorry to say I didn't find it to be of any use at all. I spent a fortune on this thinking I was giving my hens the very best. Then it became clear to me that they had worms. I treated them with Flubenvet and it was very evident a couple of days into the first course that they were heavily infested. Others rave about it though, so maybe I was just unlucky. I routinely worm my hens with Flubenvet now and have had no further problems. Hen Watch
Sorry I don't use Verm-X either. I use Flubenvet. But I'm sure lots of folk on here have tried or use it and will give some advice. I would definately use it as a precautionary measure especially as it's not cheap.
