My son helped me set up the (green eglu) last weekend (well he actually did most of it!) :D

Here are some pictures...

Ozzy guarding the grub. Little does he know what is coming soon  :

Resting, now that he's finished guarding:

Now what breed of chicken is this??? It is the 15 (going on 5) year old chicken. :anxious:

Look at those (chicken?) legs in the run:

Looking toward the back of the house, excuse the messy porch!

The (green eglu) is under the cedar tree for now. Again please excuse my empty, messy flower bed!

I pick the girls up on Saturday and am SO EXCITED!!!

Thanks for looking!

Your son has done a good job and they can be useful sometimes(I think he should have been on the outside putting the door on)

Mind you dont know how long it took as the dog looks really fed up waiting, am sure he will liven up when the chooks arrive! Perhaps he thinks its for him

Looking good now wheres the chooks

Thanks for your replies everyone.

Great pics 8) Don't think you'll get many more chickens in the run with that big one in there

 Indeed. Although if he doesn't behave, he can have the (green eglu) and the girls can have his bedroom.

Hurrah :clap: good job, no sleep for you this week then!

You are right.

Yes, he is occasionally useful! The dog will definitely liven up when they come I am sure. He has no idea.

Can we have piccies once the chooks arrive? It looks fine in the garden and i'm sure it won't be long before you want another one, after all, you have a nice big garden
Great pics and lovely big garden :D . The new eglu looks great - nice and shiny :D .

Your Ozzy looks strangely like my Riley except twice the size :D .

Looking good. Bet you can't wait for those chooks to arrive.

Let us know how you get on.

Ozzy is a big boy! He will be 7 this year and is my baby. :) We think he is a chow/labrador mix but don't know for sure?

I will definitely post some pictures of the girls when they arrive. We do have a large yard/garden area. It took a long time to convince my husband to go with the (green eglu) and the three chooks. If I come home with any more I may have to come home with a new husband too!

Regards,

Kathy

Wow! They do look amazingly alike. Ozzy enjoys the beach too. :D We plan our vacations around where we can bring him along.

Chelsea, I love your avatar. I'm trying to talk my husband into getting a "friend" for Ozzy too. I want a German Shepherd puppy soooooooo badly. One thing at a time I suppose...chickens first...then a GSD hopefully someday!

Regards,

Kathy

Your son is great. Glad to see he's practicing ready for poo picking

Oh...I was saving that part as a surprise for him.

We picked the chooks up yesterday and he has claimed the EE as "his chicken".

I don't have any pictures yet though. Been fighting a lovely flu/cold combination for the past week. I'll try to take some soon and start a new thread. We haven't 100% decided on names yet either.

Let me just say...that...I LOVE THEM!!! Chick TV is the best.

Regards,

Kathy
