tara Posted March 21, 2009 Share Posted March 21, 2009 Just been to see my ducks at the bottom of my garden and my runner duck millie has drowned in shallow water over night im so L brought her up from a day old and l cant believe this has happened she was only 18 months or so and was perfectly heathy l feel so angry as well that this could of happened. Sometimes drakes will not leave a duck alone and will tread her in the water and sometimes they do drown. This happens a lot in the wild if the proportion of drakes is too high for the number of ducks and is horrible to witness as there's nothing you can do about it when they're on lakes and rivers.
