ChickenJo
sorry, but I just had to share this ... totally bonkers I ordered some stuff from clinique last night (on line) and changed my mind this morning so cancelled the order. They have emailed back to say they cant cancel it, so I will need to refuse the order when the courier arrives. Now I understand that it will take the std 10 days to refund me, but what is the point of them packaging it all up and sending it out on the van (it isnt even due to be dispatched until Monday) only for me to refuse it and for it to go back and get unpacked again ??!!! I have emailed back to point out that they arent taking a very green approach ... another process gone mad
Ain't Nobody Here
For goodness sake . That sounds ridiculous . Procedures and protocols gone mad . You'd think a human could step in and stop the process .
bluekarin
I'd understand if they'd already dispatched it, but that is ridiculous. I just did a quick search as to what your rights are and found this http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/after_you_buy/buying_at_home/returning-cancelling/ but on here it says to cancel by phone and not in an email http://www.digicamhelp.com/buying-guide/shop-online/cancel/
ChickenJo
thanks ... I'd also understand if it had been dispatched. I know they will refund the cash at some point (although sooner rather than later would be nice). Its just the complete lack of any logic or common sense. bluekarin
Maybe it would be worth giving them a quick call and see if they can cancel it that way.
