chelsea
Sounds like the same problem as my chook currently has. Willow has had an eye problem for several weeks now. The eye is slightly "bulging" and sometimes weeps. We have tried antibiotic gel which was a pain in the bum getting in the eye so the vet has given us Tylan to inject, it did have an initial affect - but we are taking her back to the vet tomorrow. Our vet told us chicken's sinuses are behind their eyes, so your girl may have a blockage or infection of some kind. I would maybe consult a vet and try and nip it in the bud if you can. Let me know how she goes.
Egluntyne
I'd bathe it with cool tea ( no milk no sugar). It is very soothing and has antibacterial properties. If there is any discharge and/or it gets worse, she might need to see a vet.
chelsea
We've got back from the vet today with Willow and she still insists it is an infection in the eye, she felt around the eye and even though it is slightly swollen there is no swelling behind the eye suggesting anything sinister (tumour). We have been given Baytril to inject now as it is a stronger antibiotic.
