I have a Combi Boiler and all was well until I went to have a bath tonight and realised there was no water!, the boiler started flashing so has been re set and all looks well on there until we try to get water and then there's just cold. :( I love my bath in the evening so I am lost with a miserable hot kettle in the sink! pah!!!

(the flashing lights indicated a 'dry fire' on the fault chart.

 

I bet thats another huge expensise I dont need right now!

is the water topped up in the boiler? Our old combi used to play up and hubby used to go out and "top it up" as apparently it had a small amount of water in it.

ours has a dial and I have taps below the boiler that I turn to increase the pressure (I thought) but it might be to let in water??? I dont know to be honest I was just told to make sure it stays in the green section, which I do.. LOL. I am not much help either... I want my bath!!! LOL

You'll have to make do with a bucket & flannel for tonight...

Get a repair engineer in! Mine acted up on Jan 1st:? and had to be temporarily condemned as it was dangerous!

no not yet, but I have left messages on their numbers. It's only a few years old so it better not be condemned! LOL

 

The flannel and sink wash was not as nice as my lovely bubble bath!

thanks I am waiting for the engineer to call me, he tried when I was at work, didn't think to ring the mobile I left him!

engineer said he cant get to me for 3 weeks!!!!!!!!! so I have another coming in about 10 mins!.

it's apparantly the flow switches, he's dashed off in a hurry to get them before the shop closes so I can have water tonight. here's hoping!

well I had temporary hot water last night, the part is NOW diagnosed, but dont ask me what it was because I have forgotten

 

Should be fixed compeltely today I guess .... but I ushered them out the house so quickly so I could run to watch my sons footie match, so I will ring him if he doesn't ring me.
