Hi,

 

I have a Cairn Terrier who last thing at night goes out for a wee and insists on running up the garden and barking at nothing in particular.

 

My girls arrive on Saturday can't wait

 

Will my dog disturb the girls if they have took themselves off to bed and cause problems, will I have to apply masking tape around the dogs mouth

mine were completely oblivious of my terrier's barking after day two - I thinks its white noise to them now

mine don't notice either of my dogs when they bark. day or night.

so i wouldn't worry , if they do hear it they won't mind when they are nice and safe, tucked up in their eglu

Mine jump when the noise first starts coming out of the furball's mouth, then they settle back to whatever had their attention before! Furries might get sworn at by the feathered ones if they are disturbed at night, but nothing more!

When we first got the girls they used to stop dead in their tracks when our dogs barked but now they don't take any notice of it at all. As others have said, I think it becomes normal for them I guess like us with traffic, trains, aircraft etc -Oh for silence!
