We have a new dog!!!!

Can I just add though I hate that they alwasy say no small children. to me she would seem an ideal candidate being so young

I agree Bron, I think they do it to cover themselves, and I suppose you can't blame them.

The rehoming lady said Tilly was fine with children, and as I have a 3 year old and an

8month old living in the house, I feel confident as long as we keep a close eye on them.

We went back to visit her today hoping to take her for a walk, but when we eventually got there, grrrrr to London traffic , they told us she had had her operation today so we couldn't see her :( we both looked so sad they kindly said we could go and visit her in recovery! The vet came and took us to her, she was very dopey but we had a quick cuddle and a stroke and told her we would come back and see her soon. The vet asked me to put some arnica cream around the wound area to stop bruising. They are such nice people that run the rescue centre :) I saw Bear the dog who had a horrible start in life, he is a real sweetie with the deepest woof I have ever heard, I do hope he finds a lovely home soon.

Just read Bear's terrible story and realised this is the same rescue mentioned in the book I have just finished called 'One Dog at a Time' by Pen Farthing about saving the strays of Afghanistan.

How heartwarming to see that Bear has been saved and has the chance of a loving home.

The Mayhew sounds a really caring rescue. :)
