Egg Song Ring tones

Recommended Posts

We have recorded our two hens Ginger and Betty doing their egg song in the morning. We now have it as our ring tone on our mobiles. Crazy I know, but it makes us laugh every time the phone goes off. If anyone else would like it, you can download it from here. Pock pock pock pock Macccaaaawwww!!! to you all.

Glad you all like it. We have the noisest hens in existence, especially Betty. We're now trying to record the mad, frenzied, affronted squawking they make, whenever we pick up a brush to sweep the paths that they have been "decorating" as they free range all day. This will be our "text alert" sound.

We've had our hens since Christmas, and they've given us so many laughs. Just seeing them run up the garden has us in stitches...

ps there's a great video on YouTube called "Chickens of Fire" on just this topic.

I have DS saying "mummy are you there, are you there. I really really really want to speak to you. I've been a very good boy you know...." and so it goes on :lol::lol:

The pair of them absconded with my phone & recorded ring tones on it for me.......bless them!!

I'll have to try & get the "laying chorus" which goes from bird to bird in our flock..the layer makes the slightest utterance & the next nearest Orpie (usually!!) takes up the cry & passes it along to the next one and so on......it can go on for blooming ages

My mobile went off in Ikea yesterday, and I actually stood for a few moments thinking - how strange I can hear a hen - before I realised it was coming from my pocket.

And I'd definitely love to hear Wild Mum's chorus of hens, now that would make a good ring tone!

ps - Scrambled - my son is totally embarassed about my hen ring tone, too.
