There's an offer a mile up the road from me, but I couldn't commit the time at the moment . We used to have an allotment but had to give it up for that reason - it was a car ride away so going there was a bit of an expedition and we didn't just nip up for half an hour very often.

 

We're looking into a bit of unused grass on the other side of our garden hedge at the moment though... fingers crossed the council will let us buy or lease it.

Well I've already had an offer of land!! It's a bit far unfortunately but considering it only went live yesterday and I only registered yesterday I'm really impressed, and very hopeful - I'm on several allotment waiting lists (currently about 2 years I'm told ) so this is a fantastic idea! I've offered to share produce with the land owner as payment!

I have just regestered too. More veg space would be great. What I would really like is more room for piggies. I think that might be a little harder to come by. You never know your luck

I put my name down for any spare land going too, although I don't hold out much hope. The waiting list for our local allotments has over 500 names on it.
