My dad just ran into the kitchen with a massive worm in his hand shouting "look what Ginger just pooed out" .

 

I feel slightly ill now ..

 

Same happened to me. Never ever saw any worms in their poo in 10 months of chicken keeping but after a drop in egg production thought I would use Flubenvet just in case...... and saw dead worms in their poo once I'd started using it. Worm them every 3 months now regardless.

How long does it take until the worms start appearing in the poo? I haven't seen any worms, but my girls have been laying less, and laying more soft shelled eggs, so I'm worming them for a week with flubenvet and giving them limestone flour. I'm on Day 3 of flubenvet, and haven't seen any worms in their poos as yet.

Some of the worms are microscopic I believe, so you won't see them Cyber chook. I worm every 4 months or so and have only seen worms in their droppings once. Bean sprouts galore in the droppings tray

when I last routinely wormed we had worms appear in their poo!! Trouble was Midnight promptly ate one

 

At least you know the Flubenvet works though!! (quite fascinating!!))

 

I wormed our dog too after finding the hen worms as she eats soooo many of their droppings

Dogs eat chicken poo??? My friend's Border Terrier likes nothing more than rolling in cow pats, but I didn't realise dogs have such tastes - must be nutritious I guess - why am I even thinking about this
