RutlandRooster
Just bottled our first batch of elderflower champagne. We've got so many elder flowers growing in our garden hope to find time to make some more batches over the weekend. Also made a few bottles of lemon cordial - just what you need on a hot summers day!!! Hoping to sell some at local village fete so decided to go for some gorgeous bottles. Chook n Boo Mum
Looks lovely ! Do you have a recipe for the lemon cordial please RR? I've used a mishmash of recycled bottles as they are all for personal consumption - mine probably, although I have had to hoik a small plastic bottle from the recycling so I can send it back to school with DS, strangely enough I won't send him back with a glass one !!! I'm straining my cordial through a doubled over t-towel...boy is it taking a long time!! A group of Yr6s at our school fair on Saturday were selling bottles of EF cordial as an "entrepreneur" challenge (which runs every year to fund an outing of their choice at the end of term with what they earn from sales, each team starts off with £10 I think.) Anyway, the bottles have all been recalled with an offer of reimbursement, I haven't had it confirmed, but I can only assume it's either fermented or was contaminated in some way as the only instruction we've had is open carefully & pour down the sink !
